Come join us at Hoover Middle School in San Jose, CA for our next monthly jamboree! Monthly jams are held on the first Sunday of each month from 1 PM to 5 PM.

SCVFA Beginners' Circle

The Beginners' Circle slow jam has been a popular part of our monthly jam. Each month one of our experienced musicians leads a slow-jam group, playing tunes we've announced plus other tunes suggested by the participants. Slow play usually starts around 2pm. (The schedule sometimes changes depending on the day's other activities. See the Events Page for current information .)

Bring your acoustic instrument (not just fiddles!) and practice playing with a group, learn some new tunes, and pick up tips on jamming, and make some new friends. See the Beginners' Page for more information, including sheet music and audio files for many of the tunes we've done.
